The date on the grave stone conflicts with the year of 1843 identified in the 1900 US Census and calculated in the 1850 and 1860 US Censuses. The 1880 US Census calculated year would be 1845. The gravestone is clearly wrong about the year of death, which would be 1917 rather than 1817.
